Dave Rooney/ Percussion & Vocals has been playing professionally in and around the greater Boston area for over 30 years. An accomplished drummer and singer, Dave also plays keyboards and composes and arranges music. Dave brings an enthusiastic energy and attention to detail to the Undercover creating a uniquely eclectic mix of music designed to please a wide audience. Along with his band mates, Dave enjoys performing live and getting a charge from the crowd. You will enjoy the level of veteran professional playing that Dave and the band put on display. From classic rock hits, pop, jazz and beautifully crafted original songs, the Undercover will not disappoint you.
Lars Stone/ Bass. Lars has been part of the Boston music scene for many years, and has shared the stage with “Junior Walker and the All-stars”, John Hammond Jr, Buddy Guy and Junior Wells, Queen Ida and the Zydeco Band, B.B. King, Wilson Picket, and Albert King. He has done music sessions with the Boston's legendary musician/producer and “Tower of Power” member Ellis Hall, rock icon Bob Seger's drummer Pep Perine, and the Boston soul review, "The Hypnotics". Lars has worked tours throughout Florida, New England, and New York City..Lars was bass player , and harp player for the popular cape cod band "Kite School" . He describes his style of playing as, “lock in with the drums, because that is where the action is in all great musical entities!"
Nick Cavelti/Guitars. Hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area, Nick moved to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music. He quickly became familiar with New England, touring the area extensively with a number of working bands before joing Rhumboogie, a premier funk and fusion band. The mid-eightys to the new millenium were devoted to original rock bands, notably including The Greg Greenway Band, followed by Aram Island. More recently, Nick was a founding member of the Leon Street Rockers before joining Undercover.
Keyboardist/Guitarist Mark Pollock was born a poor Amish child in Lancaster PA. Went to Boston on Rumspringa and discovered electricity. Played keys in the seminal Boston band UXB and later in the Bruce Marshall Group before releasing his first CD of original music, Burning in Your Bones. He fronted the band The Big Spenders for a decade to play his material, releasing 3 more CDs along the way, and released his most recent album, Found a Peanut, in the summer of 2021. Most recently played with Deluxtones before joining Undercover in June of 2022.
